Reset your Nervous System-Belly Breath Meditation

This belly breath meditation was taught to me in 2003 by Tibetan monk, Tsoknyi Rinpoche.  He affectionately called it the “French Press” meditation because he wanted us to follow the exhale breath down into the belly in the same slow way the hand held coffee maker pushed the grinds to the bottom.  Now somatic therapists and researchers know that a belly breath also connects with your vagal nerve, and you can reset your nervous system with just a few of these breaths.  This meditation meditation combines breathing into the belly and grounding in stillness.  Length: 10:08 min. January 2018. No music.

hooponopono_honi21“Forgiveness” Meditation

According to a Pali scholar, in Buddhism there is no Pali word (language at the time of the Buddha) for “forgiveness.” Why?  Because with karma, the affect of an action is already built into the action.  Forgiveness is a Judeo-Christian addition to Buddhism, according this Pali scholar.  That being said, I’ve still found this guided forgiveness meditation to be a skillful means to clean up my side of the street while the wheel of karma turns.  May this forgiveness meditation help you find some resolution with yourself and others.  Music by Stillnessmusic.  Length: 15:29
